I transferred my O2 SIM into a P900 which I unlocked myself from Orange, and it worked fine. If you can make calls with your O2 SIM in the Orange P900, there's nothing that should be blocking it from doing WAP or MMS. Just make sure that you have the correct server details, and that you have actually selected the O2 servers, instead of the pre-installed Orange ones.
I also notice that the built-in WAP browser on an Orange phone defaults to loading the Orange wapsite, but use Opera and you should be fine.
