that no remote thing sucks. how can sony release walkman with outa remote? anyone know where i can get a remote from and how much it would cost. otherwise will have to give in and buy an ipod!

I got one today and its ruddy excellent, its so much nicer to use than an ipod, great quality, just feels really nice to use, so what it doesnt come with a remote, personally i dnt relli feel the need for one- would be nice but i understand it's because they wanted to keep the price down to compete with the ipod so no dock or cradle. But so so so small n nice

the only way round it is if you have a Sony Net MD minidisc remote, that works on th NW1 & 3

Yes, i use my Minidisc with my NW - HD1 but you do not get any data output on the screen.

yes, it is rather. But i can still live with it, you just have to think of it like the old MD players, their remotes did not have screens.

Wow it is loud now. Still annoyed as i now hear hd1 can be sent off to allow it to take mp3 tracks, so basically, cheaper mp3 player, dock, remote, 150 quid to one with just the mp3 for 220, meh i'm still happy with it

In terms of HD1 vs HD3 the HD1 seems to be better made - less plastic, more metal... Stronger and higher quality 'feel'.
