@Superluminova

Last I heard I think you can download the O2 logo from their site..
But as for the display,(BT Cellnet ) this should have changed automatically.

Mine changed some time ago now..

Sound liek a problem with O2 more than T68i as I have one on Orange and my mate has one on Voda and neither of us have been having this prob

I agree, I am have exchanged thousand of messages myself... from boltblue/msn/mobilinkgsm never faced a a problem...

my opinion: not a handset problem...

I had it on my T68m with Genie, and still have it with T68i software (I had mine T68m updated).
Genie told me it's a problem they are aware of, but they NEVER said it was the phone, it sounds more like a problem with their end.

Sounds more like a problem with the handset that only manifests itself when sending sms and requesting a reception receipt.
Maybe the T68 doesn't send reception receipts as it should?

Well thats what O2 are claiming,....but are saying this is not the case.
O2 are still implimenting things on their website, hence its not fully operational.
They need to sort their act out..

i've got a t68i on voda but also use the o2 site for SMSs.

the duplicates only started when I got the t68i but that was also about the time genie rebranded to o2 so I cant tell exactly who is at fault but I know other phones dont get duplicates.

obviously the t68i acknowleges SMSs as otherwise all SMSs would be resent over and over again, but its only the o2 alerts that the problem lies with so I'd say its an o2 issue..

let me get back to work on monday and I'll get some investigating done See what I can dig up..... I do know some people in some useful places...

it is a handset issue, i raised it with them 5 weeks ago. i have had them calling asking me to test various things. i get it on orange and voda and also on the orange free text service so it is unfair and wrong to blame o2. they do however have a secure wap issue with 68i which has buggered me up rather with first direct access! There is actually a problem with the O2 website and NOT the T68i. I am on Vodafone and subscribed to the free O2 Text Alerts. They (O2) did not send me any for a long time and when they did they decided to send around a 100 on the same day and got on my bloody nerves. I am subscribed to other text alerts that I reveive daily without any repitition but where O2 alerts are concerned I dont get them all the time and when I do I get a bundle of them. Bloody tossers at O2 :[

the issue is being investigated now, hopefully I'll get some answers over the next couple of days but I'll keep at it until I get a satisfactory answer.

I'll let you all know what I find out...
