I get particularly angered at things like this. I really feel for you, man. But dont let the madness of some blokes you probably will never meet again spoil your holidays.
Me, I am glad you are still alive and (phyically) unhurt. The phone can - and - will be replaced. Maybe with something better that you get to keep for as long a you want.

Thanks for your reply guys...at least was able to cool my self down now..sigh... planning to get a new one??? PLAN? I have... CASH? I dont... and I dont think I would get a lucky bonus twice... will be able to buy a replacement by late July next year due to my current pay... which means another LONG LONG WAIT before I could get to easily contact my gf easily during distant travels...

this s*cks big time...
Bad thing too is that there's no such thing as CELLPHONE INSURANCE here... the only thing given to you upon purchase is your fone's IMEI number... or maybe cellphone insurance is just not the bling in this country. Also, if I bring a nokia or cheap fone together with my fone... what if the same thing happens? I'd surrender my nokia fone but they'd still inspect me and find that I'm carrying another one? It's just too risky especially in this country...
GOD, is there a real santa out there prepared to kick those thieves' a**es and give me a new fone??? This is a very depressing holiday season.
