Heres what I do with my own themes...

If I modified someone elses theme to make it better; I give the credit to him by having the original maker unchanged in the themes information...
If I build a new theme from scratch I post a preview on my website
and those who want to download it must e-mail me and in return I Place his E-mail Add on a downloaded theme so if ever he/she posts it somewhere else, he/she will be known to all ESATO users as an idiot, and I might just try crashing his phone next time....
Heres My Theme:(please PM me so I can give you my E-mail Add)

Not that I'm not for the practive of taking credit of others themes but aren't we doing the same by using others wallpapers without giving proper credit to the original creator ?

Edit: forgot the "not" between the I'm and for, makes more sence now

I have stopped making themes all together

Made alot of themes before - and hosted them on my site as well as on esato and on mobile9

But eventually I got tired of finding my themes everywhere with others taking credit for them - its no so much a problem if people post ones themes and gives you the credit - but its annoying when others take the credit for the work - or even when I find official sms sites is selling my themes and making money on my work.

I know how it is, that's why I stopped also but I do continue (only for me) and I just upload it on my website so other's can use it if they want but yeah I see sometimes my themes on other sites and I don't care anymore because those sites have such a huge database that the theme get easilly behind in a couple of days and eassily forgotton ... .

Yes you can but this is not the thread for it.
Download VITO theme creator and have a read of this

Theme leechers apparently cannot be stopped but it is a massive ummer to ones efforts. especially when some Vietnamese site ends up selling a theme you've spent hours on.... can't stop them.

Can't give up theming either though, I am slowly coming to realize that if I don;t slap my username all over it nobody will everv know I made the theme in the first place.

It's annoying and it's disrespectful and if I know who's uploaded the theme I'll give them a piece of my mind

But in some cases (Vietnamese pay site) you're powerless, they all act like they don;t undestand englsih and there really is nothing you can do to stop them cheap-arses making an easy buck

My only consolation is they'll never know how good it feels to have someone like your work

I emailed the concern person and got my theme deleted. They are quite fast in responding (10 min). Now i have to check if any other themes were also stolen.
