Ah HA... I've sorted it now

The output directory is messed up, I had to change it for the files to save to (I selected Desktop)
Once the file was copyrighted I found a .DM file, and sent it straight to my phone, and it worked!

I'm really grateful for the help I hope to repay you someday Vlammetje

Thanks

Do you have to de-brand your phone before being allowed to have MP3's as ringtones, or will the DRM package do this for you?

I have a k700 vodafone, and i tried DRM settings as shown above, in order to use mp3 as ringtones. However dm files cannot be transfered to my mobile. Babysmile, you said that for k700 and s700 there are different settings for DRM. So could you explain what exactly should i do with DRM settings?
Is there any probability of the cable being responsible for that problem? I have bought one in the price of 30E, i dont remember its type but i think its the authentic.

Thanks in advance

Does this packager work with other manufacturers handsets?

Like the V3 Razr on Voda?

Hi,

I can put the DM protection on the mp3 files as shown and copy them to the Media/audio directory on my Memory Stick, the problem I get is that the files have a key icon with a red line through it and show as Not Activated.

I've got a V800 (which I rapidly regret buying and should have got the Z800 instead!!)

Any ideas?

Sahajesh

Hi everyone,
I've done everything that is described and the mp3s work as ringtones but only as general ringtones. I cannot use a unique mp3 ringtone for a contact. When I try to add a ringtone to a contact it doesn't show at all the DRM protected mp3s.
If anyone knows why this is happening please help me.
Thank you in advance

WOW!! Thanks guys, I have just tried this DRM thing on a K750i Vodafone branded phone and can now set MP3's as ring tones, alarm signals etc etc.

I didn't have to upgrade the firmware or debrand my phone either!!
