This Motorola MPx is amazing. The design is much better than Nokia 9500 and the features are much better than SE P910 (it has Wi-Fi, 1.3 MP camera, horizontal or vertical layout). Looks much like a small notebook while Nokia 9500 is too long in horizontal length to call a small notebook...

Motorola has officially unveiled its upcoming Smartphone devices at the 3GSM World Congress in Cannes France. The device we were referring to as the MPx300 turns out to be called simply the Motorola MPx. The MPx looks to be a very different type of phone that offers the user a horizontal or vertical alignment when being used and will include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Tri-band GSM/GPRS, SD slot, 320x240 2.8 inch screen, 1.3 MP integrated camera and a QWERTY layout keyboard. We hear it might also come equipped with a built in hand/hair dryer to squelch any perception there was a feature left out.

The Motorola MPx will come with 64MB of built in RAM and the SD slot will offer up to 1GB of storage expansion and will run the Microsoft Pocket PC Phone Edition OS. As you can see from these pictures, the device isn't exactly tiny and is more on par in size with the XDA Phone devices on the market, but this thing literally come with just about every feature you'd need. It will be interesting to see how the keyboard rates, it looks like it could take some getting used to.
The MPx100 should fill the niche for the smaller type device Smartphones that people want.
Thanks to PPCW.net (http://www.ppcw.net/images/live/3gsm/) and PocketPCItalia.com (http://www.pocketpcitalia.com/3gsm_2004_2.asp) for pictures and reporting from Cannes on this news.

Well, as said before, the Moto's specs look great on paper, as does the MPx. But just read howardforums or other user reviews of the MPx. Noone recommends the MPx, because it's full of bugs and there seemed to be many more wrong with the phone. The ones who used it are very very disappointed with it. Better get a MDA Compact.

@deuxani: I'll take a look at those reviews & forums. I fell in love with the looks & feature-set of the MPx. Shame if Moto lets us down on actal performance (as has become their custom in recent years)

I recently bought a moto v620 after using SEs T68i, T610, T630 and K700i over the past few years. I find the motos design very slick especially with the v3. The v620 is better than the k700 in terms of primary phone functions eg. reception quality, battery life, build quality, call volume, strength of vibrating alarm, volume of ringer, call records. The SMS is very good and I find the predictive text the best I've used. Also the menu is very customisable and its got skins (like SE themes- and doesnt just change the colour of the bar like Nokia). Also this moto can ring and vibrate at the same time (the previous ones couldnt). The UI is way better than previous motos, where going through the menu is a pain.
BUT.. the K700i is far better for the other stuff like wap, camera, organiser, memory, radio and mp3s, ease of data transfer via bluetooth.
I seriously think that moto is on the way up, especially when Nokia produce phones that are anything but slick and SE produce phones (that are excellent) but at a snails pace. The new motos are really stylish and look very professional, with metallic casings.

Over here, those who have "ears to hear" avoid Moto like the plague. Too many disappointments. I used to LOVE moto. But I'll never buy another until I hear enough positive reports from actual users of their new phones. The V3 seems to have scored exceptionally well. Unfortunately, I ain't excited about clams :(

I agreed with AYA. Moreover, its pricing is way too high.
