Well the best way to solve the problem is to open the phone cover that ways you get more place to work around and aso less risk to damage the front panel..But be careful while working else you might scratch your LCD best is to keep a cloth over it while you work..
Ok coming to joystick remove it with your nails or tweezers..Now take a cloth and clean it..
Next step is to hold down a piece of cloth on the joystick and use clippers or a clasp to gently pull it upwards..!
Please keep in mind that you are not supposed to pull so hard that the joystick comes out..or you could risk the solders in the circuit coming loose and voiding your warranty..So please be careful..
After two three such pulls the problem should be solved..If that does not solve your problem take to SE service center and get it checked out could be carbon deposit in the circuit..!

This week my joystick started acting up...pressing down results in "ok, enter"... Think I'll take it to my nearest :se: service centre.
