It would be possible to apply a thin sheet of wood, a veneer, to the phone case to give it the look and feel of wood. I like the feel of aluminum, titanium is a possibility, but there is a world shortage of certain grades on the horizon. Carbon should be cheap and easy to manufacture, after all the cases aren't big and could use off cuts of pre-preg from aviation, and it looks nice! A bit of tactile rubber at contact points would be good.

on my p900 at contact points at the bottom there is only two rubber protectors so it still has contact with surface causing a lot of wear, i always have to put it on a tissue or something its a real pain if there were two more it would be fine, it so strange.

How about some sort of hardened Glass or Ceramic ....That would give the handset a amazing feel and look.
