I just tested my Canon Powershot - no dots on that, even though its a cheapass camera
Well, guess I will just live with it .. but that shutter switch noise bothers me the most!

For lcd screens, Toshiba would consider it a fault if you have a block of 4 dead pixels, or 5 singles. Other manufacturers may have different rules. It's just a feature of the manufacturing process, but still annoying! As a k7 owner the low light shots on the cam are very noisy. Prob due to the amplification software used not being too smooth.
