Yep, that's Orange support for ya .....
Just take the phone apart, remove the motherboard and drop a very small amoount of oil in the button assy.
Leave it overnight, assemble it again in the morning and it will be OK.
Quite a common thing, it happened on my P800 as well ....

Yes, dead easy. You will need a really small (jewellers) screwdriver.
There are 2 screws at the bottom below the battery.
There are another 2 hidden behind plastic covers at the top. Just prise the covers off with a pin.
The front then unclips, but be careful because the screen is not fixed and the cable can sever.
The motherboard and screen then pop out and you get access to the back of the pin assy. Just pop some oil in and leave it for a while.
Hopefully that's you sorted.
P.S. Orange are shite, I had the same issues and it got passed between Orange, SE and Celesticrap until I was REALLY pissed off. Never send your phone to Celestica - they will make it up with other people's bits and send an inferior one back ....... in about 6 weeks if you're lucky

Thanks for your help, thats greatly apreciated. I have some jewelers screwdrivers so will have a go at this in the next couple of days.
Rediculous we have to do this shit, its not exactly a cheap phone, so much for customer care!

Did you buy your phone direct from orange over the phone? if so it sounds to me as if your speaking 2 the wrong department, i had 2 replacement p910's from them both for hardware faults. If you got your phone from a shop then you need 2 take it back 2 where you got it

well obviously you didnt get the correct department, cos the one your speaking to is checking your line for faults, not replacing your phone. If you got your phone from the upgrades department then you need to go through to them instead of the faults department. When you do -phone them, dont go on about how the screen "is slow" or any of that rubbish just tell them straight - the flip is broken cos the button thing is stuck and you need a replacement under warranty. they will send a next day courier with a brand new phone and he will swap it for your old one. If you want to go taking your phone apart then go ahead, but bear in mind that if you cant fix it, or if anything else goes wrong (which isnt unlikely with an orange p910- they are notorious for faults) then your warranty will be invalid and you will have a very expensive paperweight and no phone at all.
