I tried removing the orange menu screen. It worked but HandyDay still doesn't come up when I open the phone.

I actually quite like the SE Desktop app. I can have it open with the icon shortcuts desktop and have HandyDay as the first shortcut which executes when I push the jog wheel.

But if you know how to get HandyDay up then please let me know.

They are sending me replacement headphones. Can't wait to hear the MP3 sound. BTW, what quality MP3 encoding is good for the phone?

Use DBPoweramp to convert to 64K ogg files, then use Oggplay (free) or Unreal Player (costs but very good) to play them.

You then get twice the amount of songs.

I've got 264 on my 512Mb (well, 468Mb actually) MS Duo.

Well wicked

umm, didi you read the thread on removing the homescreen? cos if you still got SE desktop installed then you didnt do it properly. if you follow the guide then the last step would be to uninstall the se desktop, then handyday will work on flip open.

Yeah I tried that and it didn't work. The Orange desktop went OK but HandyDay still won't start up when I open the phone - I have to open it myself, nor will it show up with the phone closed.

Just for info I enquired about getting my Orange P910i "flashed" with unbranded software today at CPW, they can do it but recommended I didnt have it done as it will invalidate the warranty! And as I seem to be having some trouble with the phone at the moment I think I will hold off doing anything whilst they're still happy to repair etc under warranty!

This is gonna sound stupid, but after you uninstalled the homescreen and SE desktop you said you open the flip and get the applications menu and have to start handyday manually, you did tick the option "pop up at flip open" and "autostart" in the preferences from handydays edit menu?

There is a thread explaining how to remove the orange homescreen without flashing the phone, if you do this handyday will work correctly.

Sman does cause problems on orange branded phones, although it hasnt crashed on my p910 since i removed the orange homescreen (but i dont use it much as there are other apps which do what it does better). If you have a PC, the easiest way to manage files on your phone is to use the P800-PC file manager

If you didn`t get the headphones in the package then you have been short changed, take it back or call orange and you should get them as they are included in the orange p910i box (i should know as i`ve had 3 of them now, and they all had headphones in).

can you gurs give me the link to the thread about removing orange homescreen.10x

No.

Sheesh. There is a nice menu option marked "Search" right above here. What do you think that would do?

4. Is there any way of entering appointments into Calender (or Handyday for that matter) that span a number of days? For the End parameter I just get a time and no obvious way of entering a date for it.

Choose "All Day Event" for appointments/things that last several days?
