6600 was a great phone and was replaced by anothre great phone 7610(which i have)
now tbh the 6600 should be compared to the P9xx cause of the features BUT because nokia phones are cheap it was compared to the K700i which is a good phone compared with the 7250i and the 6230.
Now ive just got the S700i and glad i have becuase its a great phone and is better than my 7610 at call quality and texting but then again how the hell am i goin to get a full map of new york on the s700i?
Its a case of horses for courses, and lets not even get to firmware updates becuase Nokia are just as bad as SE!!

hi guys. see first of all, i said what i and majority of the people felt. look at the buggy firmware of phones like k700! which needs to be updated as soon as you buy it! so now wat does that mean...the phone you just bought is already outdated!!! the software is bad and slow with lots of bugs. and wat about the huge shutter sound you get when you click a photograph using the camera?! how can you probably explain that? believe me...when i tried the k700i for the first time, i was shocked by that sound! its almost like a gun shot from a air pistol!!! so these are just some major flaws in this phone. ok i agree that it looks good and the size is also good...but it is a good looking phone with major flaws!
then lets talk about the S700. the less said the better. you get the same functionality in this phone which you get in the k700!!! and that too after being almost double the rate of it!!! now thats sad. i mean its highly impractical. it has a good cam and a bigger screen and can use a memory card. thats it! rest all functions are the same. the design is also not a good one. you have to slide the phone to use the keyboard. i did not like the design and the size and the weight of the phone as soon as i held it in my hand for the first time. now my arguement here was that when you are paying such a price then you should get something more than just a cam phone. so the smartphones like 7610 or 6630 are a better option. and they also has a megapixel camera apart from all the other great features of a series 60 smartphone. so now thats reasonable.
the reason i compared the nokia 6600 with k700 was because they both are in the same price bracket. so i feel that 6600 is the ideal phone to pick up since it can do much more than k700, being a smartphone and also the cam is better overall than k700. and it also doesnt have all the bugs and obscene shutter sound like the k700!
now coming back to P900,910. since i have not tested this phone and dont have much idea about it, can someone tell me more about it. i mean the software it uses and how is it compared to the symbian series 60 phones and also compared to series 80 phones like nokia communicator series 9500 or 9300. because i know that P900,910 also uses symbian but not the series 60 or series 80. but some other symbian software. so how is this symbian software compared to the ones nokia uses?
i know that many people here did not take my post sportingly but i just showed the obivious facts! but even if people feel that SE phones are the best and will use SE only (as if they hold some personal stake in the company and they are trying to justify it as if its their company?!!) then...god bless you!

When the 6600 costs as much as the K700 it is self-evident to compare them.
The strong points of the 6600 in this are symbian and the memory slot. The camarea I find hard to judge. Also I think it is true that the plastic finish of the 6600 makes it more resistant to scratches and other damages, but it also means the phone looks cheap.
Still I prefer the k700 mostly because of the interface I find not only easier to use (personal preference I suppose) and because of the look and feel of the K700. I dislike the looks of the 6600, both the body and what appears on the screen. To me it is ugly.
It is what you find important. The k700 does what I want my phone to do, including looking good. The 6600 might do more, but does not look good.
I don't think people buy phones out of a rational comparison of features and prince. Phones are a part of your looks, if you want it or not. They tell something about who you are and even more who you want to be.

OK, the most expensive Mercedes Benz S and Ferrari are in the same price bracket as well. Are you going to compare them too?

In the very end the process of buying phone (car, clothes, shoes, whatever) pretty much comes down to personal preference. Other people may like other things.
Now I didn't go through all of your story but the bottom line is clearly that you feel the N6600 is better than the K700. That is fine.
What
isn't fine though is the line I quoted. Just because other people may not be as keen on Nokia as you apparently are, does not give you a right to put them down.
If this is a response to something that happened and is no longer in the thread, which is not entirely impossible I suppose, still is the wrong approach imho.
You sign up a few days ago, apparently to tell us all that you you feel Nokia (models) are better than

(models). Fine..... but try not to diss the people while you're at it. You don't know their motivation, nor is it your concern.
Now..... as you're obviously pleased with the N6600 (have you bought it yet?) perhaps you could do us a tremendous favour and post a thorough review in the reviews section?
