It was a struggle, but I've now got my p910 synching with Evolution (Linux outlook clone) using Multisync and using my PC's broadband connection, both over bluetooth.

The best instructions I found were here:

I found that rather that trying to setup Bind as my DNS, I could just use Dnsmasq and make an entry in /etc/hosts pointing mrouter (the hostname that the phone tries to sync with) to the PC.

One day I'll try to get all of this onto a webpage.

well the sooner you could get it all in place the better, in the mean time I will try to figure out both suggestions you guys gave me.

I am still a novice at all of the Terminal commands, but its fun to learn a new operating system. I am very good with Windows and its getting boring.
