If you have a Vodafone branded phone and want to keep that firmware (due to the facts in my first post) you can now delete the camera sound using SE Tool (www.setool.net) even without unbranding your phone. In other words: You can keep the Vodafone firmware and simply delete the camera sounds using SE Tool and a simple script. Here's an example script that deletes the camera sound and modifies some other sounds like the sms sounds etc. Using SE Tool you can also remove the annoying sounds when powering the phone off, inserting battery charger cable etc.
