Whiz, not every one has unlimited gprs. Some have to pay for connection charges. That is why. And yes blackberry is good. This message was posted from a K500

The PXXX series lets you choose if you want to have gprs suspended when there is an incoming call
Control Panel>Connections>Internet Accounts>Other
Then, under Preferred Mode, choose
a) Automatic (for suspending gprs during incoming call)
b) GPRS Only (will not be suspended for calls)
c) GSM only (for dial up users)

Let me know if this helps.

rohitpandey is right. When a call comes in on my p800, the GPRS session is suspended & I take the call. Also, if someone has to pay connection charges, why not set GPRS in Control Panel/Internet Accounts not to time-out. That way he never needs to reconnect. This message was posted from a P800

Thank you all for your responses.
I am indeed looking for a "Blueberry style" connection to e-mail.

Are there any good e-mail clients out there that one can buy?

Thanks, govigov.

Profimail seems excellent at a first glance. Will test it.

I use Smartner Duality (downloaded from the Sony Ericsson site). Works well to give me Blackberry style live access to email - although requires my work PC to be on.

Doesn't synch the calendar though - can't remember if that's just because we use Lotus Notes (someone has to!)

Regards
