My Joystick's been playing up recently... I got cross and forced the joystick up, down, left and right HARD! Suddenly it seemed to work again... I'm guessing this is all to do with (dirty?) contacts..?

Its easy dc, once you remove the facia, the keypad and the action keys plus joystick come out together. There will be white contact like things. Clean that and the joystick end(still in the front part.) I took it to my service centre for cleaning, they gave me a j200i to play with. After 10 minutes, i returned the j200i. At that time my phone was in parts, he said all must be ok now and reassembled the phone. And it is working fine now. This message was posted from a K500

I think se really need to do somethin bout their joysticks...its becomin too big a issue specially with the k series all coz their joysticks have those big hole for dust to enter so have it cleaned...worked perfectly for my t610.

A design fault, perhaps? Or did they do that intentionally, to close fit and dust dont go together. This message was posted from a K500

I think its a design fault...the joystick of a newly bought se is sooo good, its all coz they've left so much space for it to move around. In the case of joystick i'd rather have the one of the 6600...it may be hard. but then it'll last longer. Tho i'm yet to experience joystick troubles with my k7(one month and it thankfully it works like a dream) all these posts bout joysticks scare me

I think that recieved sooo many emails because of their faulty k700 software based on the topics that can be resolved with a firmware upgrade, so they decided to automate a msg for all emails regarding k700s
