do you think that mp3 format at 64k is listenable? I tried a 128kbit mp3 and sounds nice, and a 92k sounded almost identical, so i wonder what settings do you use the most? I'm mainly talking about quality/size ratio here, since i would like to use my memory stick for photos & videos the most....

ALL DEPENDS ON THE PERSON SOME PEOPLE ARE HAPPY WITH 128 SOME ARE ONLY HAPPY WITH 192. IF YOUR NEW TO ALL THIS ANYTHING NORTH OF 56K WILL SOUND GOOD THOSE IN THE KNOW DEVELOP BETTER HEARING OF THE MUSIC TO DISTINGUISH THE SOUND QUALITY. SO YOUR QUESTION IS IT OK TO ENCODE A MP3 AT 64K WELL THE SAME ANSWER THAT APPLIES TO SHALL I WEAR THIS SHIRT WITH THEESE JEANS IS APPLICABLE TOTALLY UP TO THE PERSON IN QUESTION.

AND YES I AM SHOUTING

Nero wave editor has an output to MP3pro function - MP3pro offers good sound at slightly lower filesize, don't expect miracles though.

Oggs sounds great at lower bitrates than normal MP3.

I do however get some odd problems with oggplay installed on my phone.

You need to install the old version first (1.0) and then overwrite with the new one (1.1)

This is a problem with the new version! So you need to install the old first! the pproblem is known by the authors and they tell us to do this:

get the old version here:
http://symbianoggplay.sourceforge.net/OggPlay-1.00.sis.zip

and the new here:
http://symbianoggplay.sourceforge.net/OggPlay-1.10.sis.zip

and the offical page of OGGplayer for symbian is here:
http://symbianoggplay.sourceforge.net/
