@k700

I wouldn't have said that the K700 was badly constructed, but it doesn't feel as solid as the S700. The K700 isn't out of date, it has features that many handsets still don't have e.g. Bluetooth, FM Radio, etc. I think you ar ebeing somewhat harsh in your condemnation of the K700.

What is interesting is your comments regarding the K700 becoming too common. Is SE a brand that is associated with exclusivity? I would have thought that we should all be pleased that the K700 is becoming commplace as it means that SE are doing well. I do see where you are coming from, but I would still adhere to my original point in saying that the K700 still has its place in the market.

The K700 i believe is the most feature packed phone in its segment. And i don't think its outdated. Its still in great demand here. This message was posted from a T230

I agree

I see no reason why it should be ranked outdated, problematic or anything. Its still the best in its class without comparison - buildquality is excellent on most (mine still look and feel brandnew after 7 months of use) I never have any problems with it - more or less all bugs are fixed in the latest firmware - its just a great litle phone that still does things no other phone in its class can deliver.
I still love mine - and there are still a large potential costumerbase for further sales.

S700 is another type and class of phone at a different pricerange and different targetgroup - why do you assume everyone wants or need that instead of the K700. Personally I didnt want the S700, because its still basically a K700 (same platform) only with bigger screen, memoryslot, better camera. Allthough they are nice upgrades - I really didnt need any of those and the swiveldesign and size dont appeal to me. It doesnt offer me that much new over the K700 - it still cant play video fullscreen, all functions are the same as K700 - I really dont need the memoryslot and the 1.3mp camera is nice, but to me mobilecams are still only a toy. Therefore I am never getting an S700.

I also see no problem in it becoming common - this only means that its a good phone that has gained the respect and the number of users it deserves. Dont we all want SE to sell alot of phones ?

New phones or models come out regularly - I see no reason we should all want to change phone every 6month if we are happy with the one we got and its functioning as expected.

well honestly for all the phones ive ever used before (around 15) for the past 7yrs, my k700 was one of the biggest dissapointments. i rely alot on text input and it has one of the worst keypads ive used plus it had undergone too many fascia changes because of scratches, plus the bugs were driving me nuts (yes, even with r2l).
one thing that is very important to me now when buying a new phone is the quality of the keypad, it has to be a shallow press one and have a solid tacticle feedback to it

@pie (poster above)- you should try using the Siemens S65 keypad mate! @K700 nut- i notice you use a P910, i use a P900 and also got a K700i on free upgrade late november last year as i also needed a small phone. Still love my P9, but isn't the camera on the 910 same as on 900? If so how can you slate the K7 cam its better! Yes S7 is megapix cam but also its a much larger phone than K7. Its swings and roundabouts mate. I find the K7 a very capable phone and i haven't had any problems with mine! This message was posted from a K700i

I still really like the K700, I mainly use my P900 but it's a great little phone to keep with me.

Isn't it time SE released an upgraded K700 with a memory slot? I feel they should. This message was posted from a T230
