Phone O2 and check you have the Internet APN provisioned on their account. Ask them to check their NAP system.
I suspect that you need the O2 Active settings for Opera, so you should also ask them to send you those settings - or you can probably get them from the configurator on the
website.
That
should solve your problem.

I have similar problum here in India... I have GPRS/wap enabled connection... so my inbuilt wab brouser works well but OPRA brouser dosent..... Few days back i went to my service provider and tested the full fledged internet connection.... And to my releaf the Opera brouser started working then and the normal brouser stopped working... So all i could make up is that Opera is specifically made for Full internet service using Proxys but the inbuilt brouser is made for WAP services
