IR works on the principal of 'Line Of Sight' (or LOS), which can be qute frustrating at times. However,
works on a Radio Frequency (or RF), hence it can give you a rang of upto 200 meters, depending on the type of dongle you buy.
Windows XP with Service Pack 2 has native
support. This makes it easier to use
not more difficult. The use of external drivers, which may/maynot support Windows XP is minimized. The problem that people do face is that, since the sp2 blutooth software is different from their 3rd party software, they are unable to adjust to it quickly.
