Here in india only bout 30-40% new phones are gprs enabled. The others are mostly nokia monochrome and samsung,lg,nokia sell a lot of basic cdma phones through contract. In total sales obviously nokia leads by a huge margin but in color phones segment samsung is the leader. Se is pretty small here tho recently they've started airin a lot of tv adverts and models like j200i,k500i etc targeted specifically for price conscious market. Nokia is spendin 200million+ dollars to start production here to cut prices

Here in the Philippines, more than half of all cellphone users use Nokia. I don't know who's in second place - it could only be either Sony Ericsson or Samsung. But I think it's Sony Ericsson since I see a lot of people using K700's and T610's.
Motorola's in 4th place.

ive managed to convert my mum to the good side of the force but my dads still stuck in the panasonic G series and my sister looks at my phone and goes crosseyed.
Here in Melbourne too sadly. I've also convinced my mum to start using a sony ericsson (t230). The old man is using a 6230 atm and I'm currently plotting a scheme to dispose of it

Poland:
1. Sony Ericsson (Yes, yes, at least! Most is T6xx and T2xx)
2. Blokia (3xxx, and some 66xx)
3. Motorola (V series, some A series)

Well in Singapore, basically:
1)Nokia (geez so out for me)
2)Sony Ericsson (way to go...proud user of t630)
3)Samsung
4)Motorola
5)Others
Most of the users here still stick to dat brick a.ka. Nokia just bcoz it still dominates the market here. Furthermore the market of changing handphone covers is still on. But for me, its all about the functions and the interface dat makes me fall in love with SE, aft using the brick. Man, cant wait to get my hands on the K700i...
My two cents...

Hmm...it's make me wonder, why is SE so succesfull in South east Asia and not in the other part of the globe (I think SE is now no.2 in South east Asia), is it because of SE marketing campaign ? or maybe another factor ?
In the low classes SE are beginning to get people awareness that this is the brand you choose if you want to be unique (I mean not having a blokia

),but yeah it's still a long way to go to knock them off from the top spot.
