thats a good point. indeed, the same attention should be given for any kind of fones, high, mid or low end aswell.

i don't find the T230 buggy. can't complain about it, except that it could be abit faster.
T290 promises us a better screen, build in speakerphone and probably updated software version. lets hope its true.
J200 is only for asia. sadly. cause i'm sure it would sell here asgood.
K300 will be a low end VGA cam phone. probably start at 150euro and go down to 100euro.

Infra-red, bluetooth are both out as standard on low-end phones. On a few, maybe, but don't expect miracles. Look at T230, Z200, T100 etc It is easier for a camel to go thru the eye of a needle than for such 'luxuries' to show up on low-end phones :-)

but IMO it would be worth the extra cost.
irda is still alive and will be for a few more years, but it never really was a big thing. bluetooth gives you far more connectivity
