it's not actually that hard to make. i bought one and took it apart and all it had wired in was a resistor. usb has 4 wires so its prob only matter of finding the two that gives a slightly higher voltage and use a resistor.
One thing i have notice though is that is does seem to take longer to charge the phone from the usb than a normal charger, prob coz usb has a lower current
