@what the hell' I thought and tried anyway:
First thing it asked me for was the CDA number. I entered it and it told me that this wasn't supported or was wrong.
So there you go. I have never upgraded my firmware before either but neither have I had such a glaring and irritating bug either. I refuse to accept that this is just a 'feature' of the phone and feel that either SE or Voda need to take hold of it and find a solution.
Quite frankly the bug is costing Vodafone a ton of monay as I see it. I don't get charged for the extra MMSs but I do stop using the function as a result. I also tell all my friends not to MMS me as I don't want to wake up in the night do the same message I have read from them twice already (I live away from home and need my phone on all night in case SO calls with emergency).
I will pursue this issue and let all know if I find anything.
Please, please, please let there be someone who knows a solution out there.
