I usually leave it a few months and did so when I got my K700, I then updated the firmware which improved the battery performance and so on. The odd rare freeze isn't an issue for me. If it was a regular occurance then it would've gone back and been replaced. Sometimes technology plays up, some people are luckier than others and never experience any problems.

For every new system added, that's one more system that can break.
With all the glitches and shortcomings of the P-series phones, I wouldn't want to go back to the B&W/mono days of the GF788/GH688. As good as those phones were (I'd like to get a GH688 again now, just because that was my first phone ever) I'm very happy with the features on the P910. I do miss Ericsson's styling though. But overall, I'm very happy with the new phones. I do wish
would release a newer version of the R310s though. As much as I love my R310s, and it's been with me through all kinds of gunk... I would like to have the features found on the new Siemens M65. Or maybe a shock, dust, and waterproof K700?

I've had a T300, T610 and now K700i and never a single problem with any of them. I switched to a Nokia 6600 after my T610 and within a few months it froze, wouldn't let me send messages, let me into folders, OR make calls. Then one day it was fine...

I have now a Siemens M65 and i'm very happy with it, any problem til now.
before this, i had a SE T200, and the only thing i didn't like about was the slow soft. but no mayor problem.
i must say that the best phone i ever had, was my little siemens C25, it never crashed, 4 years of hard use and never had problem. of course, it was a simple phone.

The nokia monophones and snakes, didnt have much to offer. It worked well. There were lil' glitches in it. In my K500i i'm now playing 3d games, browsing, checking email, and occasionally use it as a modem to connect my pc to web. So i guess i can live with my phone even though it restarts. The phone are being more human like, it is accepted even with known issues and it is prone to errors and stubbornness, just like humans. :-)
