We had one of the original mobile phones in the car, where you had to call the mobile operator to get them to connect the number. You had a call sign and this was well before the days of voice mail.

Either you were in the car or not.

Ring tones: Horn or no horn (very distracting in traffic when you for got to turn it off!)

Funniest story! This was a corded phone and it got caught in the steering wheel on a cord and cut it from the base leaving it hanging from the steering column!

Masseur

I had the NEC 9B to. I'm sure it's in a box somewhere. Think I went through about 6 of those damned whippy aerials though

I've still got a couple of Nokia 2146s (One2One GSM1800 version of the 2110i) tucked away god knows where. Good phones for their time.

And a Motorola Flare that my mum used to own.

Oldest has to be a Nokia that I can't even remember the name of, it was a triple digit number. Still lurking in a box somewhere in my house.

Oldest one I have left is an Ericsson T28s (that's about 6-7 years old). Sold my GH688 a long time ago already.

The first mobile I got was Ericsson GA 628. It was in January 1998. I got that phone from my employer and after ca 1,5 years I gave it back as I bought a T18s.

But in March 2002 I bought just for fun Ericsson GH 174. It cost ca 0,07 euros. The phone still works

I don't have picture about them, but from web I found GH 174 and GA 628.
