I can't remember exactly but it'll be somewhere in Control Panel.

Also of course u can set it so that pressing the power button promts u to choose power off or enter flight mode

I have a P910.
Becuase I still want the phone to be on! If I'm half awake/not fallen asleep yet I will still notice if someone calls or sends me an SMS...

There must be a small program that sends off an alarm, even when the sound is off!? It seems like such a simple thing to program...

Is possible to customise a profile, for example home, whereby you turn the ringtone volume down to zero, message tone off. As it's not in silent mode surely the alarm should still work ?

try this...

go to sounds and alerts...set both RING & SMS to silent. this way, when calls and SMS come in, they will be silent while Alarm will go off according to whatever ring you set to. make sense?

Install magic profiles pro (must-have app), and set a schedule where the phone turns itself on silent at night (for me it's at 01.30), and back to normal five minutes before my alarm goes off. Hey presto!
