with all application showing still open the memory shown is about 42% and when flushing all of them out using SMAN the memory status shows 62%..... i doubt how can memory occupied increases by flushing the applications.....

How can you get 62 % free!!!?¿? I have only 41% after a fresh boot up...

Update - I really would like to know this - since my P900 starts to become slow when it's down at somewhere in the 20'ies % and therefore it would be nice to know how to get the % as high as 61%!!! I have only installed Sman and periodictable on harddrive and rest of my progs on memostick...

@all:

The percentage bar at the bottom of the Task Manager module's screen shows how many percent of FREE memory is left in your UIQ device.

Hope this explains everything. It is also a good idea to have posted this in the SMan v1.3 thread here in esato since I check that once in a while. Plus I sometimes post updates and previews of the next version of SMan there.

Well this is the first time i am using SE and thats a wonderfull experence... I am not sure if P900 and P910 has same internal memory RAM... because what i am talking about is P910 shows me 64% + free.... if the status bar shows free memory.... and with 15 to 17 applications open besides hidden tasks it then comes down to 42 % if u are intersted in what all application are loaded when it gives 64+ % then here is the list with the hidden tasks and the memory used..
Flipkeypad 68Kb
SMan 128KB
EiksrvBackdrop 568KB
Applications 120KB
DateMate 144kb
Chess 196KB
Beamer 88KB
Appicker 76KB

Besides Date Mate, Chess, Sman, And Application all are hidden tasks..
I did not have that screen capture software and i also dont know how to use it as once i had installed it..... so could not get the screen picture posted here....
with all above useage my memory fluctuates 64--68% if i add about 15 more applications it comes down to 42 to 45 % The total memory for P910i is 32768kB.....
