Is there any app that you can install to check if everything is ok? Also, how do i install it? Do i just send the app to the phone and it auto installs? Which app can do that? Any special tips to check the screen part? This message was posted from a K500

@ Ranjith

I stated in my last post how to ID water damage

@ govigov

There is no 'app' but the Service Menu provides all these funtions of testing components.
Roll j/dial up, press *, j/dial down, down, *, down, *.
(u can press * with the flip, virtual flip or the 'Phone' app number pad)

To install apps u can do it through the docking station or simply send or d/load the .SIS file to the phone & it'll ask if u want to install

And
-flip on bezel
-flip removed bezel
-16MB Duo & MS adapter
-Black carry pouch

@ govigov
The P8 doesn't need a tool to remove the flip, it is a simple plastic clip not screwed on like in the P9s

Checking for water damage as I described involves taking the phone apart remember

There is a screen test in the service menu. What do u want to test it for/what is ur doubt about it?

Like, if the phone is dropped and may have damaged the screen? Also, when using the stylus, (you will have to pardon me, i have never used one.) How much pressure is too much? Like how do i go about it? EXACTLY the same like pen on paper? This message was posted from a K500
