@gov, yeh ok got me there, I misunderstood where you were comming from

Ignore that bit then, the rest still stands.

K700 Solid design, great screen, great ui and so on, imo it has to be the one.

I normally post this analogy every time some one posts a s60->k700 comparison.

Would you compare your Honda CBR to a Mercedes? or your Golf GTA to a Land Rover?

I am using a symbian phone right now so i can say it has too many advantages over a non symbian phone. Rick, the pc is affected by viruses too but has that stopped people from buying windows?

Virus is not a factor to stop you from buying symbian. Debu, which car/bike is compared to which phone? ;-) This message was posted from a K500

@gov: The point is that both bikes and cars are vehicles, but you cant compare even the most expensive bike to a mid range car, because they are fundamentally different.

if there in a similar price range i belivev you can compare. for example the k700 and n7610 in the uk are both free on the same contracts. so if you are going to get a contract phone and dont wish to pay for the handset then both are options.
as for features well that comes down to personnal tastes as does the style. the nokia is great if you wish to say watch films or put many episodes of the simpsons etc on it,also if you want a decent calender or games . the k700 is great if you want a small capacity mp3 player and phone in one unit.
at the end of the day you should always buy the phone that suits your needs and budget.i had a simliar chose and chose the nokia as it suited my need s better

@debu it is not wrong to compare symbian phones with normal phones provided they fall in same price category ex k7 and 6600 coz a person spendin the required money would obviously wanna know which phone does wat and whether it meets his/her requirements...a person plannin to buy a k7 should obviously take a look at 6600 to check whether it does somethin he really needs and for all he knows it may meet his requirements better, he cant just ignore it sayin its a different class. I had to make a similar decision when purchasin my k7 and obviously i did a lot of research on the 6600...ultimately it wasnt wat i needed coz symbian comes very low in my requirements but for someone else in a similar position symbian may be top priority.
@whiz symbian in my opinion is a very small advantage over normal phones but thats just based on my usage statistics. I have played around with symbian phones and the only thing i liked was opera...all other apps like photo edit, mobile office, video editors turned out to be a waste of memory since my pc does all that 10times better and much easily. Opera is the only thing i liked coz its nice being able to view web sites on the move since i use a lot of gprs. Also there are too many worthless apps which take a lot of ram like for changin wallpapers, screensavers etc. Anyways most of nokia s60 till the 6630 are quite laggy phones as soon as you install a bit of software and hang at times as well...add to it other complications like trojans and ram managers and stuff and the fact that i dont feel the phone controls are practical for symbian apps...a stylus and much larger screen are absolutely essential as in the p series. Nothin worth writin home bout i'll say since the imp things like video plaback/record, camera, mp3 playback are done by normal phones like k7 and the like quite efficiently
