I have the _i-mate Jam. Battery life is fine. You can get through 2 days without struggling, almost 3 days if your blue tooth is off.
The sound quality from the ear speaker & speakerphone on the back are nothing short of terrible. It comes with very cheap headset so I cant say for sure what the true potential is for the sound from the headphone. But some people who have used the jam with P910 headset say that it is good sound. (Which is why I'm here actually). This is a bit ironic since the original concept of the "Jam" is to market to music-oriented buyers. But judging by the software package & headphones, that went out the window before product launch.
I think the Windows Mobile OS has its strengths and weaknesses. SO depends on what you want. Mine doesn't crash all the time. But if you are installing software etc you could have to reset ie reboot it.
Syncing is pretty easy with the latest syncing software, (Active Sync 3.

so that is not a problem at all.
But the Jam has a myriad of problems which (other than the sound quality) are really more to do with the failings of the Windows Mobile OS than the hardware of the Jam itself. e.g. your wake up alarms often dont go off, navigation is poor, ergonomics of the screen navigation are amateurish etc,
At this point, if it was me and I alread owned the P910, I'd sit tight and enjoy my device until the updated Jam comes out, probably around November for Xmas sales season. That device will definitley have the new Windows Mobile 2005, which should improve some (not all) of the OS weaknesses. The new Jam will almost certainly have 128MB RAM and 3G capability.
So if you have a P910 at this point, I wouldn't spend money on a Jam becuase its only very marginally better than what you have - and it has its own new set of problems and weakenesses too...

Actually I was refering to the quality while talking...
I'm pretty surprised about the alarms not going off! Do you know anyone else who has experienced this problem?
It's getting really difficult to decide since one person is saying its great while the other says it's crap.
I'v decided to keep the p910i and buy the Jam now, unless the new jam is coming out next month

. The reason why I wanted to sell the p910i was because I wanted to get the jam upgraded to 128mb, buy some more accessories, but i'v junked that idea, since it voids warranty.
