And btw, I dont think that I have ANY firewalls working - at least not locally on my machine. In fact I dont even have any antivirus software running on the maching in question!!

I have just bought a new stand and it doesnt make any difference.

Please advise.

-Should I phone Sony Ericsson up directly?
-If so what is the (UK) phone number??

shiphen:
I got _exactly_ the same problem with my computer and phone.
SE software can't either find my P910 or my old P800.

- But with my fathers computer everything works fine...

I've tried everything... :-/

Have you tried looking at the settings on the phone itself? Someone might have been playing around.

On your P900, go to Control Panel > Connections > Cable.

The settings should be:

Cable status: PC Connect

Baud Rate: 460800
Parity: None
Stop Bits: 1
Character length: 8
Flow Control: CTS/RTS

Give it a try after that..

i had the same problem same as u, after trying all ways to reach seeing files in my p910i, i got the solution, though the same reason.

Be careful for firewalls. After installing a new firewall program, it asks u for all programs which wants to connect with your computer. For syncstations, i got the name: "mRouter Runtime"

i u blocked the connection, u will probably have this problem. try to find the blocked list of programs and enable "mRouter Runtime", or uninstall your firewall, then reinstall it

I had the same prob with win98se. After several install and uninstall sessions it finally worked. Anyway, mRouter.. must be running for the phone to connect.

Gads solved it!
Djkizlive you more or less had it.
The "Modem" was selected instead of "PC connect"!

Groan...!

I dont have any firewill attached to that PC.
Right I'm gonna try again now. Wish me luck!

Thanks guys.
