Thatīs not the reason.. I had a totally empty SIM in my K700 and it worked just fine..
Good job it helped, but as i said i donīt think thatīs the reason.. in all phones i know of, caller image and ID works ONLY on phones contacts and not the SIM.

I had the same problem when I just bought my k700 and after I transfer my contacts from my t300 to the k700 no more problem I dont really know why I have R2AA003

You should be able to see contats names on the sim as well as the phone.

I have the same problem and it is very easy to fix. If you have this problem, delete the contacts (problematic ones) and also delete the numbers from the call list. Make sure you write down the numbers before you delete them. No goto phone book and add them like you would add an absolutely new contact & it should work perfectly fine. This is a bug which is triggered when u try to save a new number from your call list (I assume). So, never save a number from your call list. If you want to save a number save it as a new contact or add it to your existing contact using the phone book features. (This is my suggestion and it has been working perfectly fine for me).

I tried deleting the contacts that weren't working and re-entering them. Yes, they did then work BUT then other cantacts that worked in that past didn't work anymore. After my softwre upgrade everything seems to be OK.
