sorry one more thing, if i use the setool.net service which cable do you recommend i use?
I use a modified USB cable with driver software that let's me unbrand at 921 600 - it only took a few minutes to unbrand
For all other tasks (unlocking, writing files) you are recommended to use 115 200 even if your USB driver supports faster speed.
But it's probably easier if you get a T28 Service cable... a bit slow though

Best way to get the credits you need is to contact gBrooks3 - fast and cheap service from him!

Have you flashed your phone yet dude? I'm on O2 myself, my phones on R2L001 and I'm looking to do the same thing. Just wondered how it went & if you had any problems?

If i get a credit from the davinci website and debrand my phone with R2AE033 firmware and use the same customisation file (eu 2). Am i still able to disable the shutter sound like it says on the site?
thanks in advance.
SE Tool (www.setool.net) will disable your camera sound - and perform a lot of other things that Davinci just can't! It's well worth the few pounds buying the needed cable (I've also heard from people using Davinci that they are having trouble with the DSS-25 support from time to time).
If you use SE Tool you can also customize a lot of other things, like sms sounds, power off sound etc. I have made a sound package with a script that disables the camera sound 100% even if the volume isn't set to mute. It also has other neat customisation features. Read all about it here:

With SE Tool you can also cutomise your CDA information. That way you can use Sony Ericsson Update Service in the future. With Davinci there is no way to customise the CDA information.
