I would not touch this with my friends Nokia.
Second, maybe I am wrong but the only reason that I can see to turn off the sound on a camera phone is to take pictures of someone without their knowledge. Thus entering into the "creep" zone.

Yeah, I must be wrong since many to most sports clubs and public places are banning camera phones. That's right, has been no abuse of people taking personal pictures of people and then posting them on the internet. People want to use their cameras to bird watch and not frighten them when the shutter goes off.

sapporobaby: personnally, I don't mind if there's the camera shutter sound, but there's one problem with k700i's sound: it doesn't sound AT ALL like a camera shutter! Every picture taken is like a slap in your face! If only they had included the same sound as in my digital camera Sony DSC-T1: I have the opportunity to remove the sound BUT I didn't, since it's a nice sound!
I prevent myself from taking pictures with my k700i in presence of people because of that sound lol...

@cyberVisitor,
Well, I am glad you cleared that up. Lot of thought went behind your answer.
@Turt,
I can agree with you on this. Somewhere in this forum, this "Silencing of the Shutter" has been an issue before with pretty much the same outcome. There are people such as yourself that have honorable intentions while there are those who wallow in the "creep" zone that would like nothing more than to take pictures of people in compromised situations.

Don't be so harsh cybervisitor !!!
If you are the author than great work but why not posting the packages here ? Quote:You obviously haven't downloaded the package and listened to the sounds - you just looked at the instructions, nothing else!
Make it that we don't have to register just for downloading then ...
