I like the design and features of the SE phones. I am a big fan of Sony products. I have an A-290 laptop, W-1 digital camera, and the VAIO Pocket MP3 player and am very happy with the quality, features, and value. My Nokia 1100 is a very basic phone. I prefer an open phone verus a clam shell. What is the Clara and what is the projected price.
Thanks again. This forum is outstanding with good information and fast replies. Another reason for purchasing a SE phone!!!

The Clara has a 2 magapixel cam and 100 mb of internal memory plus external memory support. I expect it to be priced maybe above the S700. Gr8 phone, worth the wait imho. Welcome to Esato btw and Happy Valentine's day! This message was posted from a T230

I just finished looking at the post of the pictures taken with the K-700. I am REALLY impressed at the quality of the pictures especially since it is only a VGA camera. When Clara is released it should be even better since it will be a 2 MP camera. Also the additional memory and the ability to use the Memory Stick will be advantages over the K-700. Any idea when the Clara will be released. I had heard that it might be announced at the 3GSM or Cebit conferences. If the price will be higher than the S-710 that would mean it will cost around $600USD quite a bit more than the K-700 which is at $350 and possibly lower with time. It will be a difficult decision on which phone to buy.

If You're satisfied with the quality of the K700 pics, i suggest you go for it. What are you gonna use your phone mainly for? This message was posted from a T230

I plan to use the phone for the following: the camera to me is a worthwhile feature. I have a Sony W-1 digital camera which is small but not like the K-700. Since I will always have the phone with me I am more likely to take pictures.
I also like to listen to music so the K-700 should do just fine. I also plan to use the phone for the organizer, contacts, and calendar features. My computer has Bluetooth so it will be easy to exchange information.
What are some good software to use to enable remote control function with the phone. Thanks again

Z600 is just a clamshell (not flip) version of T610. K700 is way better in features -- I'd spend the extra $$ and get the K700i if I were you.

Have you considered the T630 ? It's a lovely phone specially in black and has Bluetooth and a very good calendar function. Like K700 the T630 isn't a clamshell. I guess the price of 630 should be inn par, or lower, to the Z600 whick is a bit thick. I wouldn't recommend the K700. You already have a very good digital camera, stick with that. For music, well get yourself an iPod shuffle for the money yoy save on the phone. The iPod has a great software for managing your music, is cool and sounds great. I don't have a K700 myself but I have used it, and I must say it gives a somewhat cheap impression compared to the black T630. Don't forget that cams in phones are crap whatever pixels they have.

What about K500i or K508i?
The price is in the same range as brand new T610/T630/Z600 but has more features. The K500i/K508i features are the same as K700i but lack in bluetooth and memory (12MB vs 41MB).

I myself own a twilight black K508i and really love it.
For camera I have a little 4MP Canon IXUS 40 that I bring everywhere I go. For music, I'm not into listening music thru headset and need music in the mobile fot ringtone only.

The K500 and the likes of the T610 con't be compared as they belong to different periods. In the rapidly changing mobile world, things change very rapidly. When the T610 was released it was the most advanced phone in its class. This message was posted from a T230
