I wish you luck on that replacement.

Yeah, regardless of the encouraging posts I've seen about the sturdiness of this flip, I avoid pushing my luck on it even if it seems sturdy enough to support. This is simply to avoid any hassles of breaking it and taking it to SE where I can imagine a lengthy discussion about "how the hell did this happen" followed by "sorry but it appears it was dropped or something..."

One thing I noticed though is that when flip closed, it slightly leans to the left giving the closed-flip P910 an unsightly look especially when looked at against the dark line just below where the lighted part of the screen ends.

I never had a P900 but this was never a prob with my P800.

It appears that the spring is loaded only on one side therefore causing it to be misaligned when closed.

Anybody have this same observation?

Never had a prob with the flip.I use it constantly and writing lenghty texts with it..i support the flip by keeping 3 finger on the back of the phone and writing with both thumbs.I use thw inside qwerty keyboard cuz i don't wanna scratch the screen too much. Regarding teisted flip. Variations in manufacturing. I actually had my hands on 3 P910i with two having a very slight twist but the one I picked was perfect. Never had any trouble with the flip but then again I don't use the QWERTY as I prefer & am much quicker & accurate with the screen writting.

Psikey, I'm glad you knew what I meant. I thought I failed to portray it clear enough. Yeah, just as I thought, a manufacturing flaw. I wish I had the chance to select the unit I got. I always do that - ask for several to choose from - only this time, I had it sent to me as time was not on my side (as usual) to go and buy it myself.

I'll live with it, though. It's still a good-looking, great P910 from afar!
