I know the ngage wouldn't be ideal.

I hadn't really thought about the 9300! Looks quite good but very very expensive and I think a little out of there price range! :S

Makes you wonder why they don't provide company mobiles....!!!

@folling182: Good phone, but does not quite cut it when it comes to what I need a smartphone for

I'm guessing you haven't actually seen or tried one.

I tried my first 9300 at Gatwick yesterday and was very pleasantly surprised at how much smaller than the usual communicators the 9300 was. very nice to hold and use and very pocketable

quite nice actually. personally if they could make it with the same specs as the 9500 with camera and wifi it could be tempting but I guess thats not what this thread is wanting

@masseur: Nope, that's not what this thread is wanting The camera can stay away, but I wouldn't mind Wi-Fi on the 9300

nokia 6100 is a great non-camera phone, its the smallest and lightest phone ive ever seen, colour screen and does mms. I had mine for over a year before i finally gave in to the lure of a k700i.

Pretty much yes.

A family member of mine is looking for such a product.

Some good suggestions so far are the Nokia 6100, MPx200, 9300(slightly too expensive).

I think a few think that this is an issue that maybe the phone manufacturers need to address.
