> O2 locking my phone?
Bookmark topic
I used to have a genie sim card but swapped the number over to my contract phone. If I put the sim card in my k700i will I still be able to have that number? I think I'll have to reactivate the sim as I haven't used it in months, no doubt O2 will charge me for that too!!
My contract is up in June so I'll just cancel it then cos I'm happy with my k700i it's just that i don'y like paying O2 a fortune each month!
I've been very disillusioned with O2 since I've been on contract as their customer service is sh*t!
Cheers!
Think I'll upgrade the firmware before the contract runs out so I can get it done for free!
Is R2A still the latest or does O2 upgrade it to the latest 'branded version'?
Has anyone got any good places to get a dss-25/20 sync station from? i can't seem to find one in the shops here in Liverpool, for example, O2 shop, dixons, comet, etc. Is there anywhere on the highstreet I can get one or do i have to buy online??

i dont think you will be able to have your number transferred over
buy an o2 genie sim card and use the number that comes with that
and then when your contract is over ask o2 to put your old number onto the pay and go sim card
i had an accident with my genie sim card in november, last month i bought a new sim and had o2 transfer my old number over
the new sim came with £5 credit and since i got it back last month i have been getting free txts (its been nearly 3 months since i used it and i havent paid for a single txt) i must have sent over 500 txts
your right o2 are pretty crap
i wont be getting another contract, i will stick with pay and go

I swapped my payandgo phone number onto my contract phone so does that mean that my payandgo sim card won't work now?
Do I need to register the sim card in another name?
O2....GRRRRRRRR!!!

noooo, what i mean is get a genie sim card, use the number that is registered with that one untill june when your contract is up
once the contract is over, give them the number of the pay and go sim and ask them to transfer your old number onto it

Yeah I understand that. What i meant was that I've got an old genie sim card with the original number on it. This is the number that I asked O2 to swap over to my contract sim card. What I'm asking is, will my old genie sim card still work if the number is the same as my contract number?
If not a new sim will only sost me £10 won't it so I'll probably just do that! Now to find a cheap sync station!
thanks

I'm on O2 as well, have to admit I'm thinking of swapping to pay as you go from a contract too, I'm not actually making that many phone calls, mostly texts and some data. I've got a Genie sim, using that would be ideal and am thinking of using that - and I too am wondering if I can transfer the contract number over to the Genie sim once I cancel the contract - is this possible?

u can im sure
when you say u want to cancel your contract, they automatically change your contract phone into a pay and go one
