Sorry, T-zones is T-mobile's GPRS internet WAP client, there's an option in there where you can add a pop account, and check it while in T-zones. If you are not in T-zones, it will automatically notify you through SMS that you have a new message. I think T-zones doesnt give you a direct connection to Japanese webpages, somewhere it processes it, and doesn't allow you to get the page in it's original form.

I guess it is similar to o2 wap. Can access my o2 email from there or download to the phone because of the pop account settings.

But this doesn't help with a solution.....sorry....

I wonder of the Treo 650 is one of the best bets. But it is not UMTS so no good for using in Japan as a telephone!

Can use iambic mail with J-OS localiser as well as surf the next with Palm OS's WebPro.

Treo 650 doesn't seem to have arrived here in the UK yet.
