@Dumbwaiter

The update service allows users to update their handsets with the latest software (firmware), which might contain improvements and slight changes to the phone's interface etc.

It is a bit like updating your computer with the latest Operating system.

Thanks goldenface,

I was actually after a list of fixes that this update covers. There are somethings that are a little buggy on my phone and somethings which I wish it had i.e. :

> Longer recording time on the video cam
> Larger size video playback and recording
> There is a pixel missing on camera viewfinder
> Sometimes the phone forgets numbers that are stored in the phone book
> would like the icon menu page to be a bit quicker
> Customisable sms alert sounds
> ability to turn off startup and shutdown tone

Is it worth the cost of me buying the destop sync tool etc?

@dumbwaiter.

I can't say what fixes are available but I know the video recording length has been increased dramatically.

Ebay are doing synch stands "Buy It Now" for for as little as £12.50 and less so it would be worth investing in one.

You can download the driver from the SEUS site too, and this will make updating easier. You can't do it via bluetooth or IR as these also may be updated.

Ok ive done it!

Its ok i suppose!

- Video length now says "Messaging or Normal" instead of "Unlimited or Normal"

- The gallery responds faster

- The T9 symbol appears different

- Keypad unlocks automatically when swiveled open

- Overall a faster phone!

- Photos take a lot quicker in night mode

- Video appears to be slightly better quality

But R3K is still R3K, much faster meny, nad phone number buggy was fixed, auto unlock when u wrid it...
Still great..
