I've just received this information of mobique:
V800 External Connectivity:
RS-232/Serial (via base port)
USB 1.x (via base port)
USB 2.x (via mini-USB socket)
As it seems if you use ur base support (aka sync station) you will have a much slower transfer speed.

The V800 mini USB is USB v1.1 not v2.0.
