3 in austria is ok, fast net, good sound quality and cheap even with pre paid card.

Incase you don't know;
Our wonderful friend called 3 (welcome to our network, errhmm); when they set up they needed a service but couldn't afford there own. So what did they do. Well really it is quite simple.
To have a 3g network that is effective if you can't have continuous coverage is to use a backup 2.5g network also. And who do 3 use, well they use O2.
But and there is a very big but, they don't have absolute access to O2. Infact they have less than 10% access to the O2 masts. O2 have priority above all else, afterall it is their mast, wouldn't be fair otherwise.
So how did they get all these lovely free mins, I hear you cry, well they bought them of O2, O2 being a little cheaky on that one as they know 3 can't use them all.
So if you are on 3 and your call is dropped 99% of the time you are in a 2.5g area without neccessarily noticing it, and O2 have pinched your bandwidth
hope this clears up a few things for you

Thats also another bad thing as they drop a call if the signal drops from 3G to 2.5 or 2G. The 'real' Networks don't/won't have this problem as Voda & Orange already provide 'seemless' transfer betweem 3G & 2G

The calls dop even on 3s own network and not just on o2 2g.
I can stand near the mast have a fantastic signal but loose the call.
I have also noticed that having a converastion also doesnt seem clear.

They cut costs and have very very high contention ratios, its all about sharing.
If I remember 3 put their 3g masts ontop of O2's, and well O2 are now getting a little miffed, so they have started to charge 3 more

O2 don't need anyone else leeching their service as they seem to find it hard enough to maintain their own.
While I can't complain at O2s calls, theirSMS service is at times laughable with messages arriving days late, duplicating or just disappearing all together!
I think they struggle with the huge volume of SMS they get due to their free text SIMs

Your question has already been answered, as you have acknowledged, but for the avoidance of any doubt, the answer is categorically, "no".
Not only will the features not work, it is highly unlikely voice will work either, and you run the risk of the voltage difference damaging your K700i.
FYI, this is not the case on Voda, where the sims used are the same - not sure why this is, when Orange and 3 require new sims
