I'm not sure if the service client will recognize it as it has a different name (the phone I mean) but if it does recognize it then for sure it will update it with voda crap...

Yes it goes a little faster, and now you can choose to use only GSM(battery life improves a lot) or GSM/UMTS(3G) this was not posible before, plus a lot of bugs cleaning, still not photocall though in this version.
