> Should I still get the S700?
Bookmark topic
Thanks for all your advice guys, I think I'll go for it. The new SE phones seem pretty cool (particularly the W800), but I just wish it were new flips/clamshells they were releasing!
Regarding the Vodafone branding issue - I was just going to stick with them as I believe the S700 can be fully debranded with a data cable, with the exception of the obvious 'Live' logo instead of the SE globe icon. Would I be correct in saying that?
Thanks again,
Jason.

In all fairness, the S700 hasn't been out long and there's always a new better model in the pipeline. I say go for it.

I'm going to phone up Voda today and get one, although the thread 'SE700i debrand and unlock query' put me off a little!
Thanks for all your advice guys
Jason.

the S700 look better than k750,big screen big sounds, but k750 has little options that make the difference (for me) full screen video + mp3 sms tones. Now if SE release a FW for s700 to get them I will surelly buy the s700,see if these options mean to you or not

The only thing to consider when debranding your phone is that it will void your warrenty.

A friend of mine has just been talking to the sales team at O2 online and they, apparently, have now pulled the s700 from their range.
Does anybody know if this is true? It was available yesterday.......

It seems to still be available on O2 online just now, but then they did take a while to take the K700 off their site after the 'recall'.
I didn't know that debranding voids your warranty! I thought it was just changing the software and it could always still be master reset.
I'm not too bothered about MP3s as an SMS tone, although a future firmware upgrade would be nice for that (if unlikely!).
