dilipc: What do you mean reformatting the phone? How do you do that?
I am using SP2. I will try all the methods posted above today but I won't update the firmware until I figure out how to back up my phone but then again its so new that there isn't much to backup.

I finally got my phone connected using the dds. I want to thank everyone for there help. I can also was able to watch my first video woohoo!! Now I just need to figure out how to convert some files (rmvb) to mpeg4

You can format the C drive of PXXX phones by accessing the secret menu:
Jog dial up , * , jog dial down , jog dial down , * , jog dial down , *
There there are some options like format disk and so on which will be reveiled.
