@BigFeat
Is it a big battery drain, given that it's always on, any more than any other push email solution?
BTW, thanks for the software - had just cancelled my T-Mobile BB account. Doh! Still, since I'll be working for them as of next month, should be able to get it working...

My client stopped working Wednesday. After days with T-Mo support, and after 1 hour of waiting for RIM support, RIM support told me that RIM has blocked the P910 BB client until the official version is released sometime this year.
Has anyone been told this?
TIA

That's the word on the street. They apparently have removed all the SE BB Client deployed pins from there servers. Their rationale is that they can not cater an unsupported software. I guess there are criterias that must be met on their end and that would include only using approved and validated sofware. With that said, I don't gather that we won't be seeing access to the BB client for another month maybe. The downside to the BB alternatives like Smartner Always-On is that it only provides access to one POP3 account where the BWC allowed up to 15 accounts to be integrated to their system. In addition, the Duality software only allows syncing to Corporate email tools only when the PC was online. That is a major drawback I think. I might be wrong on this though, but that's how I understand the program to work.
I'm not sure if there are better alternatives the BB right now for the P910x. If anyone could provide some suggestions on working software please post.

I have the same problem and I'm afraid you are right. I have checked the BB server and it says "invalid handheld PIN"
Any closer info regarding the official release?
However the client stops at APN connected status so I think the web client will not work too:(
Thx

Just went back to the service centre to have them re-installed the BB client released for my service provider Singtel. As I am on BES, I can only set it up tmr back in the office. I'll post the outcome.

I'm not following your question. The intent of this post was to explain in detail on how it was provisioned on T-Mo (USA - BB). So where's that question coming from? At any rate, it's a moot to try to provision it now because the service will NOT work as stated in the latest discussions prior to yours. Read through the thread thoroughly m8..

The blackberry on my P910i is working !!
unfortunately, this version (provided by SE in collaboration with my service provider Singtel) is not as comprehensive as T-Mobile's.
I have only 2 service books - messaging and address lookup. what happened to the all important calendar?
And there is no option to force a reconcilation.
And I have to downgrade my P910i firmware to an older version R2A16 for this BB software to work

What's the reason for having to downgrade? I thought you stated that your service provider just released the software.
