I also had this problem but it was solved by simply turning my phone on and off.

I mean files like 3gp movies or mp3's, they work fine till a certain moment and then simply fail, after I download them to my pc then back to phone and (oh, miracle!!!) they work fine again. I am not sure
that the lack of memory is to blame because I have more than 15 mb free.

@mad_worm, it's either a firmware problem or a distinct case of memory fragmentation. Usually happens when you keep erasing files and adding new ones. When you deleted the file from the phone and copied back to it, it probably reorganized the memory structure for that file that's why it worked again.

i agree with blackspot. the amount of free memory is not as important as all of us expect. you can even use your phone with less than 1MB of free memory with no problems while executing applications. it just slows down the phone as in any other devices such as PC.

Edit: i forgot to mention that this 41MB of memory is the user-accessible memory and the phone uses another unaccessible memory for its operations and the speed only changes when you have a lot of files in your directories. (as in pc, it takes too long for refreshing the list of files and even displaying tumbnails)

Nope, I still think this is a bug. I've retransfered the file to the PC and back, decoded it, freed memory up, etc. Never used to happen with the file in question prior to the latest firmware. This message was posted from a K700i
