Why are you suddenly giving so much advice on the phone when you keep asking so much about it and then don't actually own one? Who are you to say how good the battery life is and firmware issues?

1. The battery life is quite good actualy with the latest firmware. Most of the reviews you find were the phone came and well battery life was very disappointing at that time. You gotta however keep in mind the features and specs of the k7 before you define a mental benchmark for its battery life...dont expect what you would out of a monochrome. Even with extensive usage like mine, the battery lets me use the phone liberally.

2. Yes you can record conversations and it has a sound recorder as well.

3. The call quality is very very good and personally i love the speakerphone when taking calls at home.

4. To compare its rf performance to previous se phones would not be a proper benchmark as they're a little under-par when it comes to rf performance. The k7 however is simply brilliant...its as good if not better than the nokias and motos out there, has given me no reason to complain as of yet.

The only thing imo that can ever be a bit of a dampener is build-quality...its not as good as its made out to be.

1. Battery lasts 2-3 days. Get the latest firmware to ensure this. 2. Call & conversation recording is possible. 3. Reception is excellent not only in comparison to SE phones but others as well. In all its exceptional value for money among phones in its category. My advice... Go for it! This message was posted from a K700i

How long for? Is there a time limit on it?

Pretty much as the above psoters, happy with mine and the latest firmware as well. Battery lasts about 3 days less if i'm constantly listening to the radio and playing tennis.. Which happens alot

About the build quality: I didn't find this bad, unless you count the stickers coming off (Which yes is dissapointing, but its better than paint rubbing off)

Overall VERY happy with mine.

on this page http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=66330 it says EMMA II only has R2AE033 firmware, but then is that available on online update server too? as some have also hinted
